The park and children’s playground are located in the central part of the settlement, and their position occupies an important position in the urban matrix of the settlement. The existing state of the park and children’s playground is organized in a dysfunctional manner, children’s toys are spread over the surface of the park and as such represent an unsafe place for the youngest users of this area. The existing park equipment and children’s toys are outdated.
Considering its central position and character, the project solution aims to give a new identity to the park and children’s playground, and to increase the attractiveness of the space itself.
The surface to be dedicated to the park and children’s playground is clearly defined by the new project. The current area is divided into two units with a clearly defined purpose, the park zone and the children’s playground. The division was made on the basis of the existing car access.
In order to keep the spirit of the old and for the locals to be able to identify with the new solution, the existing entrances and positions of the paths, as well as the position of the fountain remain intact.
In the park zone, the imperative is placed on the landscape, so that in addition to the existing greenery, new plant crops are planned to be grown. Microunits are formed that are characterized by different types of greenery, from low to medium and high. The fountain maintains a central position within the park and is designed to be leveled with the surrounding parterre, and could be switched on and off as needed. As for the new content, a canopy is added to the northern part of the park, to make the park interesting for use during milder rainfall or stronger sunny periods of the day.
The colored paving additionally emphasizes the micro units within the park, which also has the goal of subtly overlapping paved surfaces and surfaces enriched with different plant cultures.
In a visual sense, the purpose of the children’s playground is further emphasized with color, and it is planned to be equipped with new toys, furniture, flooring and plant species.
