The main ideas behind the design of this facility were:
– creation of a facility covering a minimum surface in a natural environment, without losing optimal comfort;
– realization of natural/direct lighting and ventilation of every room;
– visual connection of rooms (in cases of a fixed partition, the connection is made through internal windows)
– maximum visual connection with the external environment (achieved by carefully selecting the position of the openings on the facade or by installing mirrors)
– formation of rooms that offer different atmospheres (achieved through different volumetrics)
– connection of exterior and interior (achieved through materialization)
– the pool and terrace acting as an integral part of the facility.
Functionally, the facility is divided into two zones, a living and a sleeping area. The living area is located on the ground floor and contains a kitchen/dining room, living room, pantry, toilet, outdoor shower, while the sleeping area is on the first floor and consists of a bedroom, multifunctional room, toilet, bathroom and a balcony for sunbathing.
